The CPS recently told me I wasn't eligible for a job because I wasn't BME. Clearly to meet equal representation targets (which I'm pleased the Police recently dropped) but even so, baffles me.

"We are opening an exclusive position to BMEs so we don't discriminate" - but discriminate - to recognize or perceive the difference is exactly what they did - and many others do, as the police did, in excluding some candidates, whether the majority or not.

Reverse discrimination or at least a fear of it is no doubt fuelling increased support for extreme parties like the BNP. A tangent to the thread but Race quotas in the vast majority of instances are ridiculous and entirely a result of political correctness gone mad. I hope others follow the trend set by the Police and drop them.
