Looks the right profile for us. Young, centre midfielder who is physically imposing and can play in a double pivot. People want a CDM, forgetting we don't play a CDM.

At his age, there is nothing to say we can't develop his game into something that works more for us (I.E. work on his defensive capabilities and positioning). No-one's game is finished at age 23, let's not forget that. Rice was a holding midfielder at West Ham and is now a number 8.
