2025/26 Merlin Röhl

I think he’s going to be great though yesterday thought he looked way off the pace.

That said, he was playing against Anderson and MGW and he’s clearly well short of match fitness.

Looks like he’ll be getting a run of games so I’d like to see how he does once match fit. Yesterday will have done him no harm.

I think there’s a player there but definitely needs time. Based on how much garner and Tim have come on I would expect an improvement under Moyes.

I like him. He’s still a bit too eager. Wants to show he’s sprinting around and ends up gassed too early. As his fitness improves and he settles he’ll be a good player.

Moyes will work out where he is best. He has worked wonders with Garner and Tim this season getting them playing in the right areas for their skillset and seemingly giving them confidence, wanting them to be brave. Needs to do the same with Rohl, but when everyone is fit, not sure he will get loads of minutes. Hate to say it but I’d rather him on the pitch than the recent version of Alcaraz.

Surprisingly rapid.

Considering that was his first start, first 90 mins, and he has been in and out of the team due to injuries and Moyes taking his time with him, he did okay, I expect more from him because I know he's capable of it and when he adapts to this league he will be a good player for Everton.

The coaching staff I know for a fact rate him highly, he is quick, he is technically good, and he is strong, but these things take time to fully come to fruition in the premier league, especially if you aren't starting games week in week out.

I think it's not hard to see the lad has that talent and the traits to be a good footballer for us but people in this day and age want instant success regardless of the other factors.

Give him time, he's our player for the long term, that 90 mins will do him wonders.

I know some questions his ability to play in the middle, I don't, after the first half of which he was admittedly sloppy and rusty, he grew into the game and you saw him get better with his touch and control, and his passing as a result, he also carries the ball pretty well and I expect that to grow with time.

Keep him in the team with garner and tim and id wager it won't be long before we see people changing their minds on him.

He'd benefit form us having a leader in the middle of the pitch barking instructions - otherwise hell play like a chicken with no head.

I like what I see overall though: a player who is hungry to play and wont go hiding.

Not sure how people are giving this lad stick - he’s shown more than enough for me, brave on the ball and covers the ground working hard.

His little cameo at rb shows his versatility, which will be massive for us.

I think if he can stay fit he will be big for us and the German national side for many years to come.

Hope he stays fit and

Hope he gets more minutes even when we are back to full squad.

hes haphazard but he is a proper athlete and has some good technical ability, he’s just like a tasmanian devil a bit all over the place

did very well to come thru 90 mins against two of the best midfielders in the league

please just stay fit lad, we need you on the pitch
