2025/26 Merlin Röhl

Before the derby wasn’t it? So that’s 4 weeks to date and doesn’t look like he’ll be back for the weekend either.
Well I wasn't counting weeks where we didn't know whether he was fit because we weren't playing, because that would be weird. I hadn't seen that he was still injured so I was basing it on Moyes saying he got injured the day before the derby and had been out until the Palace game, which is 2 weeks. If he's not fit by the weekend then it would suggest that it was evidently more severe than a knock, but I still wouldn't exactly say missing 4 weeks with an injury meant we needed to sell him immediately because of his injury record, would you?

Obviously not no.

Would just prefer more honesty from Everton around injuries. Branthwaite had going rom being back on the grass and close to the team to being close to getting back on the grass. There seems to have been a reset there they’ve not told us about. Equally with Rohl just come out and say he’s had an x injury and looking at a number of weeks, instead it’s he’s had a knock in training and touch and go for the next game. Just annoys fans when he then isn’t seen for a month afterwards.

Its an obligation with the only way out if we are relegated.

He'll be an Everton player next summer and unless he turns into Matthias Sammer he has to be moved on immediately due to his injury record.

The obligation is based on appearences....if he doesn't make them, the obligation does not kick in.
