It leaves them seventh, 11 points off neighbours Liverpool in fourth spot, with a home game to come against red-hot West Ham next Saturday.

Article written by well known West Ham fan, Darren Lewis.

Just a small thing, made me laugh. West Ham have been absolutely woeful this season - describing them as 'red hot' just because they're playing a team you don't like for the sake of the article is just laughable.

Also absolutely no mention in the article that Everton's next 3 league games are all at home against teams well below them in the league, with a 4th home game against Palace still to be rearranged. Also no mention that if Everton win their game in hand, that they'll be 2 points behind Spurs and 3 points ahead of Man Utd.

Theve won 5 of their last 7 and 4 in a row. They've also kept a clean sheet at Stamford bridge.

That's pretty red hot form.

When do we play Arsenal in the Cup?. I assume from the "next 3 league games are all at home" in the above post, that it replaces the Newcastle away game....correct?

Yeah, arsenal slots in where newcastle would have been.

Our next 3 league games are west ham, cardiff and swansea

West Ham are still 14 points behind Everton. The teams they have beaten are all teams that Everton have beaten. The 0-0 draw at Chelsea is something Everton would have achieved but for a spawny injury time goal.

The journo is acting like West Ham are something special. West Ham have a negative goal difference of minus 3.

Yes, Everton have had a tough run, but they have also suffered defeats against 3 teams above them in the league - Liverpool, Spurs and Chelsea, with Liverpool being the only deserved defeat, and the latter 2 games being unlucky, narrow 1-0 defeats.

The logical, unbiased journalistic response would be to say that Everton now have a good run of games against teams well below them in the table in which they can realistically hope to get back to winning ways and build up a head of steam towards the run in.

Wouldn't call it media bias myself. West ham are playing well and in good form if you look at the form guide. On the other hand we have lost 3 out of 4 ( I know it's been unlucky and vrs teams above us) but currently we are on a bad run. Journo's only have a certain amount of words to use so I would say its pretty fair to be honest

They will get sent back down the M6 and M1 with their tails firmly between their legs, just like they always do after a trip to Goodison (and An..field for that matter).
