When I left home and moved in with my best mate back when we were about 19 I reckon I had kfc or domino's about 5 nights a week. About 2 years we lived in that house and not once did either of us cook a meal

Out of interest how much does a bog standard fry up (1 bacon, 1 egg, 1 sausage + the rest) cost up north ?

Costs about £13-15 in my area which is absolute insanity IMO. If I was going to somewhere posh like Hawksmoor id expect it but even the local family run greasy spoons round here charge similar.

Most decent places for brekkie these days (i.e. not a 'greasy spoon') will run you about £12-13 on average for a Full English.

Also - quite a lot of judgy 'my body is a template' types in here which is quite surprising

Nothing wrong with a maccies from time to time. You know what you're getting end of the day and it's, generally, more than fine scran

Even in my 20's when I didn't care what I ate it was still bottom of the pile. Burgers and fries both taste like cardboard.

Don't know where those prices are from but it's nearly $9 in the milwaukee metro area.

I dunno, these aren't the worst places for me. The worst places are Greene king pubs,wagamamas, Zizzi etc premium prices for just chain food. The Greene king pub near me charges 18 for burger and chips

You can get a coffee and a sausage mcmuffin for like 2.80 and I think that's fine.

You get what you pay for at fast food chains, you don't at restaurant chains
