You can't write him off after one game though, especially against that lot.

He wasn't the only one who bottled it ( again ).
Tbh I'd already written him off after his last stint in the first team. Surely you can see he's just not good enough?

Sorry mate, you can't condemn someone after one game ( except Niasse ).

He's got to be given a chance to bed in.

I'm sure in the ideal world Koeman wouldn't have chosen that game to throw him in as his first game of the season

Who walks into a team decimates.

Totally agree. He's a kid chucked into rs away at short notice. With holgate playing alongside and Schneiderlin missing from midfield. He also scored a goal.

Coleman had an equally tough time right at the start of his career (5-0 Benfica). Let's give him some time to adjust, very harsh to write him off after yesterday.

It was a bad move really to throw him into the derby for his first first team game of the season but it just shows how short we are for players at the moment

It was either play him or play Barry and I'd much rather Barry was nowhere near he first team.

Was Pennington that bad? As I've only seen the goals from the game

i've always felt this too. His loans have been to very low down clubs, obviously centre backs develop later in their careers, but of all the games i've seen of him, i don't think he's premier league quality myself.

I was worried how easily Holgate and Pennington would get turned before the match. Horrifically it came true.

He was more than Bad for me,no other words for it,i would have subbed him very early in 1st half myself, think his goal saved him been subbed even at half time, and yes everyone knows others were bad as well, but Pennington seemed to be stuck every time not knowing what to do like to track player,or even attempt a tackle etc,and im a fan of playing the young players as well if they are up to it as some prove, and some dont
