Maybe they recalled him to loan him to a better team? Even if someone is injured you would think Mirallas, Pienaar, Deulofeu, and McGeady would be enough coverage for the wings.

seems a waste, let the kid play first team football elsewhere, if delf and geads are only getting 20 mins, no real point in bringing him back, as he can be recalled at anytime sure, should we have a winger crisis

Assist stats can be a bit skewed really, though. You can float in a dreadful ball that comes off your forward's shoulder and trickles over the line and get credited with one. Or you could play an unbelievable defense splitting pass for your forward to miss a simple chance or square it for someone else and get nothing.

Pienaar has always been the 'link man'. Meaning we get him the ball and he then passes to someone who lays on a chance for one of our players to score. I suppose you can say he 'assists the assister'.

Sadly, he doesnt have the speed to be a true top player and his shots are powderpuff like Osmans.

As we've seen once or twice from Osman, he can come off the bench and use his experience to slow the game down. We ideally need to be in a position where Osman, Pienaar, Distin, Barry all have spots earmarked for them on the bench -- due to the top class first eleven we would have. What a squad that would be.

OPTA look at "kep passes" too now which I think is a better measure of a creative players effectiveness.
Never seen anything of this lad but I know he is highly rated. Hope he gets a run out
