i have lost all respect for the refs these days,since they went full time they have all been shocking.some more shocking than others but all of them are poor.

My favourite prem ref ever since he had the stones to send off Lucas in the cup derby replay. Can't remember him screwing us over that many times unlike some of the others who do it with distrubing regularity Clattenburg Atkinson Mason Probert.

I thought Dowd had a very good game tonight, allowed Advantage better than I've seen in a long time.

And the Referee from the Cup Replay was Alan Wiley I think.

On balance Dowd did pretty well. Baines' yellow wasn't even a foul but the Newcastle lad went over reasonably convincingly so you can see why he was fooled.
