Getting Ian Wright back on the BBC is no bad thing - his enthusiasm and love for the game like hes kicking the balls and making the challenges is infectious. A tit of a man with the mental capacity of a dried out grapefruit but a man with his heart in the right place and a desire for the game and a love that pushes him to live its virtues. Him having felt so betrayed to criticise the BBC like and when how he did he either needs the money or someone saw sense at some management level to get him back (or BT told him to jog on).

Oddly enough Schmiechael can only get work as a clown for the current carlsberg ads which is rather sad.
How soon before the playing elite are earning in a week what the league title winners and european title winners were in what feels like the past of a blink of an eye.

At what point is the money and the fame/celebrity as near a drug as anything.

Very profound for this time of the night.

Can't believe McClaren actually defended that tackle from Mitrovic on Coquelin.

"Not malicious."

Yup.

never being first on Match of the Day should be careful what they wish for, according to the BBC’s head of football.

Chelsea have appeared in the top slot on the main Saturday night programme five times this season, two more than the next nearest team, West Ham, but all Chelsea’s top billings have been defeats as the champions have endured a start to forget.

Everton, Stoke City, Tottenham and West Bromwich Albion share the dubious honour of being on last the most times – three each.

Being first means either a six goal win, a seven goal thriller or a shock win. Being last is invariably 0-0 or 1-0. Not rocket science *hurriedly moves over to words I hate thread.

I've long said that they should just sum the league positions of each contesting team, and order the matches from lowest sum (ie the two teams nearest the top), to the highest sum (relegation fodder). Once we hit February, switch it around and have the relegation battles first.

In the case of equal sums, just order by highest league position of teams involved.
