There has been a lot of speculation on here regarding potential conspiracies about Everton being on late/last on MotD, some saying it is deliberate, others saying it is just the way it is.

According to this piece in the Guardian, the reality seems to be quite different from the perception.

They have improved a bit, altering the running order if theres a thriller, showing more highlights of the 'other' games, I remember back in the day they would show the sky 4 every weekend and literally just the goals of the rest

MOTD went that way for a bit as well, but yeah the prem was worse for it, BBC still have awful pundits

I've always said they should add the league positions of the two clubs together to create a ranking, and show the games from the lowest (ie the teams nearest the top) to the highest. Equal rankings would be decided by whichever featured the highest-placed team.

Of course, it would mean your traditional '6 pointer' games would usually be last on, but you can't have everything.

When the outwardly RS Brian Barwick was in charge of MOTD as editor, I always thought we were treated as an after thought even when we played well. Lets face it, the RS dominance on the show - with him at the helm and Hansen and Lawrenson in the studio - was hard faced. Ferguson took him to task it seems too.
