2. The commentator had the audacity to claim it was debatable the ball had crossed the line despite the slow motion replay in the background showing it CLEARLY had.

3. Shearer pretty much branded Jagielka a cheat, this despite Makoun leaving his leg out and making NO CONTACT WITH THE BALL YET CATCHING THE PLAYER. It was a PEN!

Jag's momentum was taking him past Makoun into a more promising position; Makoun left a leg out blocking Jagielka. The only way this wouldn't have been a penalty in my opinion is if the ball was too far ahead of Jags or was going out of play.

The argument would be null if Makoun hadn't left his leg out.

Blatant pen, Makoun should have received a second yellow and been off. We should have won 3-2 against 10 men.

I'd just like to point out that whoever it was on here who suggested to the BBC that they put the minute of the action in the corner, has finally got their wish. During each match the minute was displayed in the top left next to the score.

I don't watch MOTD anymore, the whole programme is a joke, the highlights are crap unless you're on 1st or 2nd and coz they hate us and are RS lovers they'll never put us on 1st. I can't wait for the day it gets dropped from the BBC. I prefer Skys Football First, you get an hour of highlights, yes you don't really get analysis of the game but you don't on MOTD either.
