Match day pub routine

I’ve been the cross keys and i quite like it but im sure the owner is a massive RS which I find a bit offputting .

Found The pig and whistle ok as well
The Cross Keys was a brilliant pub for a long time; it's now still decent enough, but the lack of real ale (or at least quality real ale) lowers it for me.

I haven't been in TPW for a while, yet they've had a refurbishment so may pop in. Personally, I've found the places nearby too crowded.

We want to have a pint and a chat, and it's sometimes hard to do that.

Not got a proper routine as there’s so many options with it being round town but have been the pheonix before the last two matches and enjoyed it there.

They have the games on, decent pint, not too busy and only around a 15 min walk from the ground.

After the game I walk into town, go the cornmarket for one or two, watch the late game on my phone and get me and the mrs a chop chop for tea.

I don't drink before the match (my crumbling bladder can’t last the match out, and my crumbling knees cant take the stairs up to row 50 twice in the same day). But a lot of the lads I meet at the ground still go the red brick, few slurps, take the Brick’s own coach there and back to BMD, then a bowl of scouse and another x pints (varies depending on how cack the game was, good game = more slurps), then go home for some traditional dogs abuse from there respective missus ;)
