I used to say the same under Moyes. Like Moyes, Martinez will have some poorer signings. However the comment isn't to say that I think everyone he has brought in, has worked out, as they haven't. But it's more to say, that I can see the direction Martinez wants to go in, and I have faith in him identifying players who might seem unfashionable currently, but who he could see a use for.

I would hate Cleverly, but maybe tactically Martinez feels he could get the best out of him. I trust Martinez in that regard.

Maybe for free there weren't too many international cb's with premiership experience that Martinez trusted. Just a thought like.
