Martinez wasted the pre-season, now he's wasting the end of the season by not giving younger players a go and trying some new ideas out. For a start, since he himself has spoken of Baines becoming a midfielder then why not today have had him there with Garbutt in at LB? Let's face it, the team we're in flip-flops for most of the game so no-one was really concerned over the outcome.

Hello, another poster who's been dead quiet for the last month or so until today.

Still an important last 3 games of the season for me. I want a strong end to the season to make players optimistic about our chances for next year, finish on a positive note with 3 wins gives us a better feeling going into the summer. Also it might make some of our players being courted by other clubs, to think twice about joining them. But 3 performances like today and tactics employed by our manager could sway players into thinking that there futures are better elsewhere.
