Get your arse down to Villa park on saturday .

Barry has been on fine form the last few games. Players go through bad patches. As one of our players of the season last year Martinez had every right to continue playing him.

And he really wasn't as bad as people make out.
He's 34. There's no way that playing 2 games a week was good for him. Martinez should have rotated him and it's no surprise to see him looking a lot better with only 1 game a week.

He was clearly on his arse for months on end, and Martinez continued to play him in every single game.

The recent run of form doesn't change the fact that several players have been terribly mismanaged this season.

He hasn't played a load more games than he did last season.
he was flagging badly for me last season towards the end, the arsenal cup game springs to mind, granted there were less options last season, I don't the situation has been the same this season, and the manager could have used him better, I think that is a fair criticism

He's been shocking for most of the season, two okay games doesn't erase MY memory lid x

I'm a big fan, but Barry has undoubtedly been pretty poor for the majority of the season. He had maybe a small handful of good performances before January. The high standards he set for himself last year have to be taken into account here too like.

Recently he's been every bit as good as he was last season though, where he was utterly superb.
