three teams have been relegated from the prem with 40 or more points in the past.
Out of 21 seasons. Hardly a high probability that. 30,39,36,36,33 are the points totals of the 18th placed team in the last 5 seasons, so the recent trend also suggests a low probability of this. Then take into account that 6 teams would have to gain better results than us over the course of the rest of the season and it becomes even more unlikely.

I would be in agreement with you if only we hadnt just spawned a point against Leicester, at home. We are playing every bit as badly enough to be in a relegation battle.

I wasn't around on Thursday night but my thoughts where European teams are not setting up optimally v us. They are playing on the front foot allowing us to hit them on the counter . Until we face a pragmatic side that makes it compact we will continue to go well in Europe

Ah right so when we rip good european teams apart...its because if them...and no praise should go to our manger??? But lose league games and bobby out !?!

No agenda at all have you !?!

We just cannot win and that for me is a big worry.
As the season gets nearer the end martinez will get more scared and we will play more sideways turgid stuff.
Our players now are not used to being near the bottom and that could also go against us.

Yes, but we didn't need the width because we were creating chances.
playing against 3 at the back and we don't need width? he has completely nullified baines, most are chances came when we got it wide, coupled with really good play from gibson. Doesn't alter the fact we play without any balance at all, and even if you have patches of creative play, in the long run that isn't the way forward

A lot of them still accept this. Nevermind being 12th in the league. Seriously, I think drawing Leicester at home is plainly dreadful result. They draw 3 times away all season in the league before today and lost another 10. Yes 10 PL away matches.

Spawned? Nah. If anything they spawned a draw against us. Didn't force Howard to make a real save aside from the two goals that arose as a result of some basic goalkeeping mistakes, and our usually reliable striker missed a boatload.
On another day without that clown in goal it would have been a comprehensive win by 3 or more.
