Pretty much agree with all of this.

We could bin Martinez and give the job to someone else who'd need time to bed in his own ideas, or we give Martinez the benefit of the doubt, write this season off as a bad job and see if we get an improvement next season. If there are no signs of improvement next season then that's the time to change things at the the top, otherwise we'll end up on a manager merry go round.

All other things being equal, I'd give Martinez till May 2016 to show he's on the ball with the job.

Hey Wolly, HHMMM 3 years where have I seen that before in the managerial career of RM!

So thats agreed then? November it is.

Then grab next seasons Owen Coyle/Mike Walker/Paul Lambert/Dougie Howe(?)/Bradford Manager/Steve Cotterill/Middlesborough Manager.

Ace.

Wait until November and then look for a new manager, who if he wanted to change the squad would have to wait until January, if the club has any money left after RM has splashed it all in summer 2015, don't make me laugh.
Yes. Instead of calling for his head in October because of a poor start to the season, even after the season we just had. An utter farce that. I could understand the calls for his head after that run in December but not in October and November. The manager has shown the ability to get it right. We've gone through a bad patch no doubt but he's shown me enough to think he deserves a bit of grace and patience to get us back to playing the football of last season.

There seems to be a consensus developing between Believers and Sceptics alike that he should be given the rest of 2015 to get us back at least to where we were last season.

As ever it will all depend on results of course.

Doogie, you have that wrong we are GOING through a bad patch not gone through that is past tense.

It's a fair point, but changing at the first sign of a problem is a recipe for disaster. If a manager hasn't shown that he's doing the right things after three years then he's had long enough. That doesn't necessarily mean I'm expecting him to get us back in Europe from our league position next season, but it does mean that we can see there's a plan and it looks like it has a chance of delivering.

Unless we're in another relegation scrap come January next season ( and I accept that we're in one this season, all be it on the outskirts of it ) then I'd defo give him to the end of 2015/16. That way, if he's not up to it, we change things in June 2016 which would give a new manager to start doing whatever he thought was needed to change the squad.

Oh, and it's Woolly, two o's and two l's ffs :)

Firstly i'm not dougie. Secondly, past or present tense the sentiment remains the same. In my mind he has earnt some patience. Whether we are still in a crisis is up for debate.

Roy more like they would email RM first or invite him over for a coffee under the guise of seeing relatives. Just like Man U chatted to our EX.

Who is this Roy people talk of ffs?

But yeah, a Frappe or Latte with some paella or sausages, (delete where applicable) would be more like it.
