How? By supporting your team? With our first trophy in decades for the taking we instead turn now on the players and manager just when our total support is critical. By all means inquest at the end but now - No support your football team.
When did I say turn on the players,it's one mans fault we are awful,he needs to know he's not wanted at our club, come the semi the players will perform, but in general they are not doing it with coco at the helm

I don't necessarily agree with the above. Martinez is awful atm and the continual fapping over everything including a point at the mighty Watford is staggering to say the least, but some of the players irrespective of their views on the manager, tactics etc are not putting a shift in and that's unacceptable. I appreciate this is a by-product of the manager but you are professionals and as such the absolute minimum is 100% every game.

Oh and MARTINEZ OUT

I think Martinnez is not the right man to lead us forward but don't think yesterdays flag was the right thing to do .. FA CUP semi final in 2 weeks is massive now and we should all be supporting the team ... Inquest can take place later. I think out new shareholder is just watching at the moment and taking stock of everything and that we will see some major shake up come the end of the season . Until then we should all support and maybe if the dross continues have banners en masse at the Norwich game ... My thoughts anyway !

We could I suppose leave the banners till the end of the Season after next, when we are in the Chamionship,we don't want to be too hasty.

'Upsetting the apple cart'

What apple cart? We're 14th with 1 win in our last 6 league games - and that was only against Villa who everyone beat.

It's hardly a 'happy winning team' were supposedly disrupting.

If I'm a player I'd be more arsed about Lukaku's selfish disrespectful comments & the manager punishing Baines for honesty than some fans banner in the crowd.

Given that the apple cart has long since crashed, been looted and set fire to, there's really nothing else to upset. Great post.

Anyway, not enough sequins on that banner for my taste, but I agree with the message and I'm glad we finally did it. Same again against palace please, maybe even more banners.

Fans have the right to put their opinions across in whatever form they choose provided they do not break any laws. When you charge someone money to come and see you preform then you have to accept they are entitled to pass judgement on the value you provide for their money.
When you ask fans to show passion for their club then you cannot expect them to be dispassionate when they feel their club isn't performing.
The fans are taking the lead in highlighting the need for the manager and players to do better, if they are giving their best then clearly they aren't good enough and need replacing.
Protest is a symptom of what is wrong, not the cause of it.
I have no issue with those of us who want Martinez retained, I don't see why apart from a belief he can turn things around. I do have an issue with those who blame fans for our bad form because they choose to express displeasure at what they see.

Yes it's a completely different profession than what the vast majority of us do day to day, but I think it's a fair point that there needs to some kind of rapport between staff and managers to get an efficient level of effort and performance.
My point was the players should always, always put the effort in for the fans regardless of opinions of the manager.
