What apple cart? We're 14th with 1 win in our last 6 league games - and that was only against Villa who everyone beat.

It's hardly a 'happy winning team' were supposedly disrupting.

If I'm a player I'd be more arsed about Lukaku's selfish disrespectful comments & the manager punishing Baines for honesty than some fans banner in the crowd.

Easy to say now. I remember @ianefc being an absolute stalwart in the face of the majority of the forum tearing him down as some entitled FIFA beaut, difficult times to hold reservations about Martinez. He had the facts though, and the facts don't lie, that's now been proven. This argument was always facts v optimistic hope.

No. It's mediocre. Win the cup and no one will remember or care about our league position.

I think there's alot of people who won't be able to turn a blind eye to our horrific league form this season should we go on to win the cup. Last season villa got to the cup final and were poor in the league. This year they're as bad a team as I've ever seen us play in the league. Good cup be a nice distraction to have when league form is poor but league position is a measure of how good a teamyou really are and we could be 15th if we get beat by palace on Wednesday night.
