Got a mental image of Bobby waking up with his fresh orange juice and toast, swanning about humming the Z cars tune. Boss.

****ing legend. This is why I always wanted him. He understands what clubs are about in the community and for the people. That is important to him whereas it isn't to most (and certainly wasn't to our previous) managers. That's what a club like Everton wants more than anything: to be important to its people. We're what this club is about.

Little Q&A with Roberto in GQ Magazine..

http://www.gq-magazine.co.uk/entertainment/articles/2013-11/01/roberto-martinez-everton-interview

How do you start your day?
"I'm up at 6.15am exactly. After a shower and some breakfast, I'm ready to go."

What is your breakfast of champions?
"Fresh orange juice and chocolate spread on brown toast."

Do you exercise in the morning or at night, and what do you do?
"Normally I try to get exercise through a five-a-side game once a week with the staff at Everton after training."

What is the most important decision you've made in your professional life?
"When I decided to hang my boots up and take the manager position at Swansea City in 2007."

What is the best piece of advice you've been given?
"Never to compromise your beliefs. My dad is a football person and he always said, 'You'll have moments that you'll be pushed and put under pressure to compromise your beliefs in football, but stick to your principles.'"

Are your best decisions based on instinct or information?
"I think it's informed instinct, so it's always more of a feeling. I think it's always a cultured instinct."

What separates winners from losers?
"Having a winning mentality."

When do you work at your best?
"My brain ticks much better at night so any time after 11pm is when I'm at my sharpest."

What book/song/motto do you find most inspiring and why?
"At the moment it has to be the Z Cars tune, Everton's anthem. I already understand how special that is."

What is the secret of your success?
"Hard work and passion."

Love the bit about Z-Cars :D

He's the ****in bollocks.

Talking about some of the youngsters at U-16, saying that we could see some young talent come through the first team at some point.

Exciting stuff!

He sounded like he was being tested by some lazy journos there today. As well as the 'when are you going to win the league?' question, he was also fending off some idiot telling him point blank that 'Baines is off, isn't he?' And another tool telling him he must be worried that Kone's first season looks like being a disaster.

They sounded like they were taking the piss. Martinez couldn't have been blamed if he'd told the phone hacking scum to swing it and walked out.

Hate press conferences, very rarely get a manager being asked a sensible question.
