I did want him gone. I've said above I'm still not his biggest fan.
He was saying Lukaku should be aiming higher than Everton. He didn't seem committed to us at all. He also basically threw the Norwich cup game and it annoyed me.
I definitely wasn't alone in this opinion. Whole family supported Everton and we all expressed similar views on him.
Lately however, he has changed. He seems committed to the cause, he looks like he actually wants to be manager.
It seems to me that Dave knows what he wants and sticks to his guns. You harangue him continuously, yet your opinion changes with the breeze. We lose, fire Koeman, we win, give him more time. It's so easy isn't it? If even the slightest modicum of responsibility and weight was attached to your fleeting whims, we would be a relegated mess.

Koeman made some really big mistakes early on in his reign here.
The team he put out for the league cup was a disgrace.
His comments on Lukaku going on to a bigger club were unacceptable.
We pay him £6m a year to make us a club people can fulfil their potential at, not other clubs.
You've praised Dave for sticking to what he wants, but then say I would have us a relegated mess? He wanted Martinez (who has already been a relegated mess) to stay as manager!
Opinions change. Koeman has shown he can adapt, something which myself and many thought he was incapable of.
The jury is still out however, next season will be when we can really know if he is the real deal or not. At this point in time, I can safely say that Koeman is 10x the manager of Martinez.
Of course we are friend. But you seem incapable of making any sort of reasoned judgement beyond a knee-jerk throwing of toys based on what happened 2 minutes ago. You wanted Koeman out in December, love him in January. God forbid young Davies goes through a bad patch, I imagine you would be throwing petrol bombs through his window. NSNO

Wouldn't say I'm knee-jerk.
I held the same opinion of Martinez from around the City away game in his second season right the way through until the bitter end.
Koeman has shown he is willing to adapt and for that I am happy.
He deserves a chance for that.

Every manager makes some bad signings but Martinez made comically bad ones on a regular basis. You'll find its much easier to name his good signings as he's only made about five of them his entire career.
