Marriner

  • Penalty was soft but can see why it was given.
  • Both high foots were dodgy, but I'd say yellow could be argued fair.
  • Barkley one was never a dive however, that was shocking
  • He had a poor game Marriner, but he isn't the reason we lost, and let's not go all kopite over this yeah?

Violent conduct and endangering an opponent are straight red offences.

Was never a penalty they were battling for the ball using body weight. You're allowed to do that. Inside or outside the box. Provided the intention is to get the ball.

Marriner......even gave Barkley and Barry the Collina eyes. Not so proficient in uploading pics etc but some bod could do it. It was scarily like Collina......doppelgänger range.

I didn't say it did: as I mentioned I believed it was an atrocious performance that 'didn't help.

However, I think some people will get fixated on this and ignore the fact we were ourselves pretty poor. The latter is more of a concern to me.
If mariner had got those early decisions correct we might have seen a different game. when you don,t get those you no its not going to be your day. However I think Martinez should have moved Coleman back and brought Mageady on when aguero left.MISSED OPPERTUNITY

Kopite?

The penalty decision was an absolute howler, and he should never have given it
Th boot in the back from Mangala wasn't merely a high foot, it was a deliberate act of violent conduct
Mariner was the sole reason we lost, as it was 1-0 thanks to his penalty award

Everyone saying we were poor.
I agree going forward we were drab and unimaginative, but defensivly i thought we looked very solid yesterday against the champions in the own back yard and limited there chances. Teams do it all tge time vs us and come out with deserved points. So id say we atleast deserved a point yesterday

Anyone can make a mistake/miss something/have a different view on an incident.

But when you combine the penalty, two assaults, the yellow for Ross, and the stamp on Coleman late on, (not shown on MOTD), where the City defenders studs ripped Colemans laces, and nothing was given, well, annoyed me a bit.

There is a time to blame the ref, and there is a time to take it on the chin.

He made a questionable, but right call on the Pen - it was a Penalty, he missed the opportunity to send off Yaya when he nearly broke Samuel in half, the Barkley booking was a shocker.

We played poorly, and this will look like we're using the crap ref to justify it, it didn't help - but we got exactly what we deserved from that game yestarday.
You must have been watching a different game. No tackle by jags and it was mangy that nearly snapped eto

that's what made it even worse for me the way Marriner looked sickened by Barkleys supposed dive, cheatin scumbag ref
