If he was tasked to avoid relegation, 10 out of 10. Regardless of whether he saved us or not but, if he was tasked to avoid relegation & build the team up, 5 out of 10.

If he was tasked with making Gum Chewing sexy again, 0 out of 10.

If you stick your head into the fire will you get burned?

There would still be people on here who would argue otherwise.

Just sack him now. Please

I thought the same the season of Wimbledon and Coventry.... I believe it would be gone to the last couple of games if Unsworth was still in charge

Unsy’s record was 7 points from 5. Use that record for the season and we would get 53.2 points. Koemans record was worse (8 from 9) and would have left us on 33.7 points. However he did play city, Chelsea, United, Spurs, arsenal and il include Burnley as well (Got 1 point off the whole bunch, but then, Allardyce only got one point of them all as well)
Generalise Allardyce points per game of 27 in 20 and we would be on 51.3.

Unsy was our best manager this season :p

If he didn’t keep trying to pour cold water on any ambition and reminding us we’re relegation strugglers I wouldn’t have felt so angry towards him

If he was genuinely trying to match our ambitions and reach Europe and go at teams then he wouldn’t be so bad. That includes not playing 9-0-0 formation away to WBA etc

It’s the arrogance and trying to keep it ‘little Everton’ that annoys me.

Did the job he was taken on for - so has to be at least a 6 but the limitations of the squad, the mess he took over and his methods of playing while being enough to rescue failing teams and surviving which he does better than anyone, aren't what we need going forward.

I would wait until we can definitely get better though as the dangers of a Pellegrino at Southampton or de Boer catastrophe at Palace can happen to us.

Other clubs are also on the lookout, possibly Arsenal amongst them and with our record in previous managerial appointments being far from impressive, I'd expect it to be hard to both attract and get the right candidate.

I also think Allardyce does have a point in that understandable negativity amongst fans after some of the dismal stuff we've witnessed this season, can be exacerbated and exaggerated on social media sites as a group or supporters site attitude takes over, with each negative post encouraging others and discouraging anyone saying anything in defence or mitigation for fear of being hounded.
