I thought he was decent before he joined them tbh. Not saying he would be starting every week, but a very decent squad member if we can get him at that price. And we would be weakening a team around us as well as you say.

wether the lad may or may not have been a striker b4 in his career I really dont see how this is a problem in anyway if he's now found his best position, it happens all the time! And buying players from clubs not challenging for titles is just to below our standards now, what bleeding world our some people living in now, that is how football works. ( for instance, gareth bale signed from a smaller club and started off as a left back now playing right mid and the most expensive player in the world! Some people need to wake up and stop sounding like everything you'd normally hate about other fans, you build a club you dont buy it in a window

Exactly. Regardless of how much money we have, we have finished in the bottom half for the past 2 years. For what its worth, I think this lad is on the same level as Mirallas (awaits stick as he is adored on here). I'd expect more signing of this stature than 30-40m until we improve our standing on the pitch over the coming seasons.

I have to admit, I'd be gutted if he signed him. One in five for Stoke, isn't it? Rubbish, especially since he's their penalty taker too. His attitude stinks and he'd only be a moderate improvement on our current second choice left midfielder, Cleverley. Mirallas should be starting on the left this season, no need to sign Arnautovic; even Lennon can play on the left and I'd much rather him than this fella, as Lennon also has a great attitude and work rate to boot.
