He's aged dramatically, clearly had a very rough time. Hope he's getting help if he needs it seems very emotional for a short football interview.

Biggest mistake we made was replacing him with that cart horse Beattie and having to change a style of play that had worked so well for us. We should've gone straight for a Johnson type if we wanted an upgrade on Bent, we'd have probably done much better that season and may have even made the Champions League group stages.

One of the unsung heroes from that 4th placed finish. Literally ran himself into the ground for the cause. Had a nomadic career but you can see what playing for Everton meant for him. ‘Once Everton has touched you......’
