Here's the thing, in our current situation with the form of our current forwards, Beckford is the best option based on attitude. Perhaps a good example for us. Bent was a ten goals a season player with plenty of energy. Beckford will miss loads, but law of averages, he will score goals.
As fans, we are blighted by too many poor performances already this season and so our tolerance has been stretched severly!
All Beckford can do is keep getting into positions and scoring goals will win the fans over.

Id settle for a ten goal a season striker mate, as Marcus proved 10 goals is potentialy 30 points when your winning 1-0.

I was also thinking we were better off when we had all our strikers injured and Cahill and Fellaini kept bringing home the 1-0 wins....
I do think Bent wore his shirt with pride. Beckford MIGHT be the player for ten goals a season, but his percentage chances/goals ratio needs to pick up for the fans to accept him fully.

I have massive faith in him to be honest mate, that goal against Bolton and his play last weekend leave me in no doubht this boy has golas in him!
