1 season loan as back up CB I don't atually hate the idea. He's not bad with his feet and naturally left footed which would give balance to the CBs, wouldn't cost the earth, and ideally would only play 10-15 games a season. Would also work well in a 3 at the back due to being a natural lefty. He is a bit of a snide though but as a short term solution I wouldn't get too hysterical about it.

I feared that this would be where we would end up. Slightly disappointed, although there does seem to be a shortage of decent Cb's available which is pushing the price up. Makes it mind boggling that no-one triggered Alderwierelds release clause. Could we not have signed Rugani whilst tying up a deal for Kean? Iam presuming that Silva has decided he REALLY wants Zouma and is prepared to accept a stop gap whilst he waits on Zouma.
If we sign Zaha it will still have been a great window, without a winger being added though it will be nothing more than OK.

That sounds pretty desperate to me if true. Can't believe we waited this long, as Zouma was always unlikely.
