To be fair Tim Howard had an amazing World Cup 4 years ago and was gash immediately following it.

The World Cup is a glorified all-star competition with a handful of games to concentrate on. Nothing like the rigors of week in/week out EPL and Cup play

Actually, if he was in addition to Mina I think they'd work quite well, with Holgate as back up.

Very true. The World Cup is well below Champions League level. There are probably 4-5 Champions League level sides in, and 27 that range from mid table Prem to lower league 2 standard.

We're about to sign a left back from Barcelona. As much as our scouting network can be criticised for being uninventive, they do venture beyond Old Trafford.
