Not buying it in all honesty. As someone mentioned last night, all the noise about this has been coming from the Utd camp. Echo has been surprisingly bang on this Summer and would expect them to latch onto us 'closing in' if we really were.

God I hope Yerry Mina accepts us. Or we can find another CB outside of Rojo, Gibson and Mee.

People have short memories in regards to Funes Mori, I recall him being prone to switching off and also giving me a mini heart attack every time he moved with the ball.

Still loads better than what we have now but not good enough for what we need.

I don't mind Rojo for the right price (< £20 mil), Mourinho is one of the best defensive coaches in the world, if he's good enough for him thats fine for me.

Wolves were closing in on a £25m deal over the weekend according to the Telegraph - so I'd imagine if we were interested the fee would be in that range. £15m or so I wouldn't be arsed but that amount of money on a player that everyone knows is a liability is insanity.

He's not ideal by any stretch of the imagination and I was always a fan of Mori but put simply, would they prefer Rojo over Williams or Keane? It's that simple.

Obviously I'd prefer Mina or another central defender before him, however with little time to go I do feel that perhaps this may be one of the better options available.

Think a lot are forgetting Silva/ Brands 1st job is to fix (even if its in the short term) before they get to grips with players for the future. If that means getting players they know & trust to fix this colander of a defence and get us pushing forward more thats the start I was hoping for.
