2019/20 Marco Silva

I am beginning to wonder if they are looking for some kind of solution to keep him at the club to work with an older more experienced manager, I have no idea if he would be open to such a suggestion but the alternative for him isn't great.

This is what i mean, Moyes was indeed a yoyo for the first few years and sometimes it was a case of Kenwright just sticking by him and showing him loyalty.

He was 39 when he took over and rebuilt the squad over many years. Silva turned 42 in July and he and Brands are also rebuilding.

Poch i think finished 10th at the beginning as well.

Ive seen some really dire results and some shocking football over the years and maybe im more patient than most.

For me, i do look at the weird decisions he makes and wonder but at the same time were only 4 months into the season. Ive seen a lot of turnarounds over the years and with the backing of £££ in Jan i think he will get the players in we need.

I like Silva but if we could attract Gallardo or another proven winner at that top level id change him.

But sometimes you need to show some loyalty and patience to build something...

Silva has had a 1.5 season with Everton soon, and mostly except for a small period we have averaged around 1 point. This little period was abnormal, and not normal. We've invested a lot of money in players, but lose to teams like Norwich, Sheffield Utd, etc.

The team plays boring static football, scoring just about no goals. Given the time Silva has been the coach for Everton I can't see any kind of progression. Therefore, time cannot be an argument for keeping Silva. Silva's project has not improved over time, on the contrary.

One could argue that Silva does not have good enough players at our disposal, but at the same time we are not Brighton, Aston Villa, Norwich, etc. Nobody expects a top four position, or top six, but that we close the gap and play a little more entertaining football. This should not be impossible, and if Silva was a decent coach, he should at least be close by considering the time he has got, the players and the investments we have made.

I am absolutely amazed he is still here. He's going to take the press conference tomorrow then have to explain why we lost on Saturday and then rinse and repeat midweek. Anfield will be laughing at us... Its going to be a brutal week...

People talk about giving him Leicester and Liverpool away, but then replacing him for Chelsea. Do you really think they'll give a new coach only 2 days to get in for Chelsea?

Actually feel sorry for him, because he must know he's a dead man walking, these press conferences are going to be brutal for him.

If he can't stand the heat he could always get out of the kitchen but maybe his massive salary won't let him and he wants to stay till he's sacked and gets a massive pay out, so on that score I don't really feel sorry for him.

I don't feel 1 bit sorry for him, this is exactly what happens when your formation and tactics don't change and you make horrific substitutions.

What a weird feeling around this whole thing. All i have heard last few days on tv and radio is who our next manager is going to be or who is being lined up. I have to keep reminding myself that he's still actualy the manager as the general talk is like he's already gone. And i mean actualy gone. Not dead man walking gone.

There are Leicester fans laughing their heads off and celebrating on the SSN tweet they did yesterday about Silva still being in charge for that game.

A small selection of them

'Yessssss'
'Very pleasing for Leicester fans'
'This is great news'
'Yes, another easy 3 points for LCFC.... would of been tricky if a new manager had come in'
'We want 10! We want 10!'
'How many goals are Leicester getting in the first half '
thats GREAT news for Leicester City ! ''
'7 - 0 coming'
'3 points guaranteed'

Been some shocking decision making from Everton over the years but this one is right up there among the most idiotic. They have made a complete laughing stock out of us. The supporters deserve a lot better than this shambolically ran club.

As much as i dislike silva's management im desperate to turn them over.

God what a bunch of delusional people in charge of our club, and a classic case of merely delaying the inevitable.

Mosh and Kenwright honestly think he can turn it around.

After we get shafted by Leicester and the RS ( In front of Global TV audiences) they will probably give him a vote of confidence.

Totally demoralised Evertonian here.
