No chance. Based on he never relegates a PL club and based on the trend of the 24 (25 if you include the West Ham) games. He is able to beat dross sides at home which is a massive problem this season.
It's a classic small sample size and of course no one should give him credit for the West Ham match.

You cannot continue to just concede shots after shot and chance after chance, create nothing, we expect results.

He was LUCKY to beat dross sides at home. I can only imagine his transfer strategy, too. Zat would lose his mind.

The thing is we have been awful for near 3 months now and have had a handful of decent games all season. No plan B, cant pass a ball, cant attack or defend. Awful subs and game management.

His conceeding from set piece record is also atrocious at us, Hull and Watford. In this league if you cant defend set pieces you wont ever be successful.

Some people want to chance yet another season ending in by December next season which is baffling. The last 2 seasons have been a disgrace (last 4 out of 5 seasons if you include Roberto's final 2) and quite frankly im sick of fans patience.

I want progression and the only way that will happen is by appointing a half decent manager and bringing in quality in the summer.

Frankly I just don't care about the FA cup or whatever the league cup is called now. They're wastes of time and meaningless trophies, in my opinion.

Everton are 6 3 8 since the start of November. I'd hardly called that awful. Mediocre, but not awful. Spurs, Citeh and the Kopites are appreciably better than Everton, so meh. A point at Stamford Bridge is always a good result. Consistently competing with the big boys isn't going to happen for another few windows, if business is done well.

Silva hasn't done anything extraordinary but I didn't necessarily expect that this season. Still a lot of holes in the squad to fill.

My only opposition to moving on from Marco is that we're a revolving door for managers and it's unlikely there will be any consensus on how whoever is brought in is clearly superior to the 4 preceding. It just seems that at some point we're going to have to stick with a selection for a while and see if changes in other areas can bring about improvement.

If Marco is such a good coach how come we can’t defend properly?

Having Brands as DOF should ensure a smoother transition than in previous years. Essentially the new coach brought in (providing Brands picks them) will have a style of play similiar to Silva and who can work with the players already at the club and who Brands is targetting in the transfer windows.

Essentially we now hire coaches not managers which is the point alot of fans dont seem to grasp (and the local paper who keep doom mongering for this period of so called [in]stability of persisting with the current failing coach.

I'm just looking at the Hull Live site at the Hull Daily Mail online and by all accounts it's two years to the day since our under performing coach masterminded a victory over our neighbours.
An interesting read if you want to bother looking it up.

It’s our only realistic shot at silverware in the foreseeable future, so we might as well call it a day now if they’re not worth competing for.

The trouble isn’t that he’s failed to do the extraordinary, it’s that he hasn’t even demonstrated a firm grasp of the ordinary.

When you’re consistently 1st place for goals conceded from set pieces between 3 clubs, you have to start thinking that is a problem with the manager rather than the players.

Why, after 70 odd league games, has he not addressed this fundamental problem?

This is just the way he is though, poor win %, bad defending, never lasted longer than 13 months anywhere. We knew all of this stuff yet still Moshiri went after him, Mosh needs to really leave the football stuff to others in future.
