I was myself, we never should of sacked Sam while he had 12 months left, now one of the reasons people are saying we can't sack Silva is because it means paying off another manager at the same times as the others, it's crazy.

Its rinse and repeat and a core contributory to our struggles mate, sooner or later we have to stick and endure. I actually think Silva isnt the issue, its the legacy of the squad, with little wiggle room and players who simply have limited character, who we will struggle to blend as a team.

The job of work isnt game to game and coaching these players, its going to be from season to season and re-calibrating this squad. i believe poor results and or frustrating performances may be the medicine we need to take in the interim. The only time i would sack this manager would be if relegation was looking a distinct possibility.

I actually believe over all we put to much importance on the role of a manager. I believe Pep or any other big name would struggle here at the moment. Its silk purse and sows ear stuff.

We would go down. It would be MUCH worse.

That's why I mentioned it earlier mate, the owners backing is normally the kiss of death, so Moshiri's backing should be taken with a pinch of salt.

That's why, if it was to be done, I wanted Brands to do it.

He's in control. He should be the mouthpiece.

I can't really trust what Moshiri says when it comes to football, because he's thick.

I do believe though that he is behind Silva - I think they all are. It's just whether the pressure gets too much.

How would we, dont forget we went to him because he specialises in not doing that, and he does it well, unlike Silva, besides it's much worse now.

If we'd have let Sam have this year we'd have had much less to build from.

Imagine - IMAGINE - if he'd have had money to spend. We'd have had players from 27-30 (even more of them) on fat contracts.

We are going down a completely different path and Sam had no place in it whatsoever.

"It is a project. The Everton fans quite rightly demand young football," Moshiri told talkSPORT.

"We want young players to develop - they need to play. Marco Silva is a talented coach but he's planning long-term.

"He will coach and develop those young players and every year those same young players will become stronger.

"In this business, you have to hold your nerve."

Thank Flip for that, sense in our times.

Good to see. Moshiri ignoring fan hysteria. Silva ain’t going anywhere when we are in no danger of relegation. How about we actually get behind the manager and let him weed out the rotten apples in the playing squad.
