We are getting worse by the year, we are following villa and Leeds, we need to stop giving out huge contracts. It's not nice but we will have to endure Silva for while, he has to set us up for the next man to take over.
No, we do not have to endure this as it stands right now.
Otherwise the next man will either be coming in this November to try and avoid relegation or come in the following season to take over a Championship team.
Because that is the only thing I can see Silva setting us up for.
I think the reason people are not displaying a great deal of patience with him right now is because this situation was entirely predictable given the year he had spent managing in England prior to Moshiri’s rush of blood and insane, expensive headhunting of the fellow.
I will be more than happy to be proven wrong in this but I have zero expectation that Silva can turn this round.
Zero.
Now, I wouldn’t fire him just yet as I believe we only need another three points, four tops, to be certain of staying out of trouble....though in actual fact I believe the 33 points we are on now will work too.
And looking for a new manager at this time of year is fraught with Allardyce type danger.
So it is up to him to show some sort of nous and get some big results between now an May to convince us he is worth persevering with.
But if the drift we have seen since the 96th minute at Anfield continues until then, then adios Marco.
Because it is never too early to ditch a poor manager.
