...i’m not overly bothered who the starting X1 is, the Manager picks his team and we all have an opinion.

What is alarming is conceding 6 at home against Spurs and then considering the absolute lack of tactical awareness and spirit in the team. Never forget the third goal against Millwall, never forget it. That simply shouldn’t happen.

We are in transition, but the team should still be drilled and up for the fight. The Manager is paid big bucks to ensure that. No excuses.

..... I take it we lost today.

Out thought yet again, they play 3 at the back against are 1 attacker, push the full backs up , so out number is in midfield ,we play a high line and right into there hands,
Every fkn week it's a free kick goal against ,
Open to a ball between the centre Half's
hardly a shot on target ,his response throw more forwards on.
Didn't want this fella but would have said give him a bit of time but be isn't leaning , one trick pony can't be arsed with him or his team.

We desperately need someone who 100% gets the club but isn't a dinosaur. Who is very tactical aware and can setup a defense. A team needs building yet again around players that give a sh1t who will put it all in week in, week out.

That’s the thing about waiting to the end of the season. Get Moyes in now and he could get the system in place for next season and really get to work on drilling the defense, which is frankly a shambles.

It really galls me to say this, but I’m starting to think the same.

We can’t go on defending like this with a manager who seems / is unable to do anything about it.

It’s truly dreadful and shows absolutely no sign of improvement.

The other issue is fan psychology - what fans should be doing at all times is providing positive support, to boost the team and maximise chances of success on the field

The armchair fans on this forum should each be assessed for i) footballing ability and ii) managerial ability to provide context to their comments

Marco Silva - teams managed:

2011–2014 Estoril
2014–2015 Sporting CP
2015–2016 Olympiacos
2017 Hull City
2017–2018 Watford
2018– Everton

It was clear at the outset that Silva had no sort of track record to speak of - potential maybe but nothing to suggest he'd be the Messiah for Everton, so a bit of a dip in form shouldn't be a surprise. The question is, will he be allowed the time to develop that he clearly was also going to need (a few years really...)

Sam Allardyce on the other hand had much, much more of a track record - people just didn't like him for irrational reasons such as the way he looked and his past affliations with other clubs.... his football may not have been pretty but he got results and may well have gone on to do better

It seems no manager is good enough for Everton

I remember pointing all this out at the time, but everyone was creaming their keks over 8 wins at HULL and 6 wins at WATFORD.

totally ignoring every other fact and stat about him.

glaringly obvious he will never be a top premier league manager. he can not defend whatsoever.

im surprised its taken this long for some to suss him out for what he is

dragged us back another year or two empoying him

Before you all start slating the players you don’t like individually, I would just like to point out that the collection of players on that pitch today were spineless, directionless and set up to go through the motions.

Who sets them up that way? This clown in charge.

I've cheered our team on but in each of the last 3 games bet money on our opponents to win. Silva is failing badly and is as stubborn as Bobby. He can't motivate the players or organise the defence.
I hope to God Mosh has finally learned from his many mistakes and insured a clause was included in Silva's contract to make sacking cheap if we finish below a certain level because it'll surely take a miracle to come back from this with the games we have coming up at home.
