Disappointing result, but we all need to stick with this and be patient. Why do we always have to be so extreme every time there's a bump in the road?

Maybe because some fans believe with this squad we should confortably beat the like in Newcastle and Watford at home. It seems fine up till the error at RS away game.

Just gonna update this

Regarding 'fine margins' that have been mentioned within this thread.
Correct me if I'm wrong, we have yet to win a game that we've been behind in.

Home Games
Huddersfield -H (1)
West Ham - H (0)
Newcastle - H (1)

Away Games
Arsenal - A (0)
United - A (0)
Liverpool - A (0)

Overall = 2 Points out of a possible 18 from loosing positions

Cup Games
Southhampton (Cup) - H (Knocked out)

I may also be wrong on this but we haven't lost a game we've lead.

Home Games
Southampton - H (3)
Fulham - H (3)
Palace - H (3)
Brighton - H (3)
Cardiff - H (3)
Watford - H (1)*

Away Games
Wolves - A (1)
Bournemouth - A (1)
Leicester - A (3)
Chelsea - A (1)**

Overall = 22 Points from a possible 30 from leading positions

Cup Games
Rotherham (Cup) - H (Win)

There's a 'pattern' we don't seem capable of chasing results
That said I'm more then happy with Silva :)

*Unsure were to place Watford as its the first game we've lead and ended up going behind.
**Again unsure were to place Chelsea given it was 0-0

The players all like him, they're all saying training is good and he is a meticulous worker, full of ideas. I'd much rather that than a guy on the golf course 90% of the time. We have a new team, really new, 6 starters introduced, anyone who thinks that we aren't gonna have a bumpy ride for a while may as well get off the bus.

he has implemented completely new footballing ideas than the rest of the squad have been used to for a few years. This instant success some demand is getting stupid. All you need to understand at this moment is we have a better set of players and are playing better football but we are nowhere near where the manager probably wants us and it will take more than one season with a group of players to fully implement his ideas and have them understood.

The fact is we have improved on last season and surely that should be the over riding factor, not results not going our way because we are not entitled to beat anyone home or away, it's a tough league in that respect. Patience is a must and hopefully we'll be rewarded.

Well that's pretty obvious, but footy doesn't really work like that, does it? New squad, new system, new manager - it's all gonna take a bit of time to get right. What's not helpful is when people go to the extreme and completely write off players after a couple of bad displays. I think we need to grow up as a fanbase if I'm being honest.

Let down by the unprofessionalism of his playing staff in the last two games.
I think he is let down by every single staff member at the club, i'd start with a total clear out of every fitness and training staff that has been at the club for more than a year or 2, we are week physically and mentally, the difference in fitness levels between us and the good teams is shocking, what do people do at this club

Personally it’s more than a few bad displays for Coleman. Maybe it’s about his injury last year. But then we have no one other than him, I think we need a new first choice rb along with the rw at PSV and a proven striker.

I pretty much agree, but it'll take a good while to bring all of them in. I mean, how much would it cost to bring in those 3? 30m for a right back, at the very least 50m for Lozano and God only knows how much for a world class striker. We've got more money than before, but we're not a super club. It's gonna take some time.

I think the Watford thing got to him a bit. He was obviously desperate to win, unlike the players, well the Everton players anyway.
O think it's more that he was badly let down by his players so tried to salvage something from the match. The way we were playing when the second goal went in, I would've tried anything. At the end of the day, we got a result. Not the result we should be aiming for, but a result nonetheless.

Bin gylfi off set pieces as well. Digne should be our new baines. Stick him on everything.

Problem is he had no one to come off the bench to change the game.

Silva looking back at the bench at 2-1 down to see who he can bring on

If Brands hasn't got players lined up for January there's something wrong, if people think the players are a let down now just wait to see what they're like once the window shuts and there's no one brought in to take their places
