To be fair they had the vast majority of the chances. Alonso came close 3 times and Pickford pulled off a great reaction save from Morata.

It was a very good performance away from home against a very good side but we’ve still got a way to go before we look like we’re challenging the current top 3.

We where on top when Jorghino assaulted Gylfi.

They kicked us off the park before wrestling control of the game.

That isn't football for me.

I did not see that Chelsea side as better.
They have 1 unbelievable footballer in Hazard. He is the difference maker currently.

I'm sure his coaching has definitely helped, but I said over and over again last year that our players were nowhere near as bad as many people wanted to make out. We lacked balance and that affected everybody's performances, Keane struggled without pace next to him, Gana was being asked to do too much on the ball, we lacked pace up top so it was difficult for anyone to create anything. The biggest positive for me this summer/season is that Brands and Silva basically identified all of our weak areas and addressed them. It's the first time we've recruited like that for years, and it's made an enormous difference.

Thats a very long winded way of saying the players were bad because we had two scheisse managers that shouldnt have been let anywhere near the comfy leather managers chair at our fine club

@Connor

Silva is totally bossing it, just like. Errrrrr. Koeman did!
Shhhhsssh @Connor will be having kittens here!

We're on the same points now (19) as we were with Koeman in his first season after playing 12 games, just saying.
Winning 4? of the first five games and drawing against Tottenham didn’t hurt. It was that massive lull shortly after that kept us comfortably away from the top half. Hopefully Silva maintains form and we up the anti a bit.

We have as many points at the same stage of the season as we did that time when we had a £100m 25-goal striker dragging us through every game. I’m struggling to see what he’s getting at really.

You are just as wrong about gylfi and have had to embarasiingly back track...

Hypocrisy at its highest here

Make of That what you will

A selection of some wonderous insight that you have bestowed upon this forum.

First off, the Darren Moore shout: https://www.grandoldteam.com/forum/threads/marco-silva.103709/page-294#post-6333259

I am not prepared to accept this clown.

going after a panic pick from last year when were in the crap, things have changed ten fold, we no longer need last years flavour of the month.

Darren moore would be a better bet than him, he almost saved west brom, who were worse than hull !

'Hundreds of better managers.' One named is at Napoli, the other waiting for Real, another rock bottom of the Prem. https://www.grandoldteam.com/forum/threads/marco-silva.103709/page-294#post-6333245

conte, ancelotti, the bloke whose just left redbull, the Fulham boss, theres literlaly hundreds.

Sacked by Christmas, get a 'proper manager' in then

sacked by Christmas. then hopefully brands will find us a proper manager

Rodgers. Dyche.

I go on facts and statistics, and all his point to abstract failure.

to be fair, there are 4 candidates with MUCH better PREMIER LEAGUE stats than Silva

Brendan Rodgers - alltho his ties to the RS are evident , his record is appealing

sean dyce - currently flavour of the month, bit too much like allardyce for me, but a better record than silva

Failure. Vault me on failure.

I'm not a FIFA head mush.

I'm not going to be able to list a whole host of names here.

but one things for certain, FAILURE is what Silva brings.

we will be his 3rd team to bring FAILURE too.

VAULT ME

Lastly, 18th in December. He would have been right had we chosen his fraud from Fulham. https://www.grandoldteam.com/forum/threads/marco-silva.103709/page-363#post-6344178

will he get time if we are sitting 18th in December ??

It seems excellent defensive signings were made.

I'm going to evaluate silva after a full season , he is doing well so far, need to see how he copes in a bad patch of form.

I'm all for Everton doing well. I'm happy!

For the record @Connor Fulham were shabite for first 15 games last season and were more or less bottom of the championship... Then went on a winning run which ended up in automatic promotion... Let's see what happens
Fulham gained promotion via the play-off's

Well we definitely didn’t look good doing it, but Koeman started well. That lull kind of defined the season though. We played awful footy for the most part of the campaign.
