Just sack him now before he disappoints us by being crap or jibbing us off for a better team.
I tend toward your camp Mooms. As long-in-tooth Evertonians, we know this will all end in disappointment...so let's get ahead of the curve and deal with the impending disappointment now

Practically all of your posts are negative to the extreme mate. Now I understand that it's good to have a different point of view to balance the argument, but you must watch a football match purely to pick out all the negativities. I'm surprised you bother to watch football at all because there can't be any enjoyment in it for you.
One could also say your comments of a fellow poster are extreme and negative.
I think he's just trying present a bit of balance.
Silva has proved very little so far. Its early days.
Some of us aren't getting too excited just yet.

Nope not for me, his tactics mean the opposition have clear chances to score against us. The results don't sum up how we have played
Fulham missed 2 sitters in the first half, palace missed a penalty, Ings missed 2 sitters for Southampton and even against 10 man Leicester went to the wire.

Pickfords been outstanding the last few games hence the results, let's not be fooled into thinking the manager finally "gets it".

Pros- the most attacking football we have seen in the last few decades, I have seen us with 5 in the box at times.

Cons-vunerable to the counter, Silva likes to attack with far too many players and plays a high line, if the opposition sit back and soak up the pressure and counter attack they have a great chance of getting a result.

Gomes has been good but Barca will look to recoup the 35m they paid, if Ake went to Bournemouth for 20m expect zouma to be 30m+.
Not a rinsing when you consider what the rs have paid for a midfielder and centre half is it?

Whi
Which ones should be attributed to Silva?
Richarlison for one. He's more than once referred to Silva as a father figure to him.

Bernard is another. He's actually said in interview that he was considering offers from Chelsea, Atletico Madrid, Inter and another Italian club I canlt recall. But he chose Everton following a conversation with Marco Silva.

Gomes is the third. On joining Everton he said that he knew Silva as a top manager from when he played in Portugal. He also referred to a conversation he had with Silva and knew Everton was the place to come to get his form/confidence back, or something of that ilk.

What? (again). Extreme and negative?

My post is almost complimentary compared to what most posters say on here. Most just call him a RS and the rest probably have him on ignore.

My comments, which you have so taken exception to, are not just related to his post on Silva. It just happens I said it in a Silva thread. The guy is negative in every post he makes on here, in every thread. It's tiresome.

Welcome back
Must be quiet over there on the forums

There is when he watches HIS team play

We need a bit of stability for a while now, moyes steadied the ship but didn't have the ability or funds to take everton to the next level, martinez flattered to deceive for one season and his replacements have taken us on a downward curve ever since, not saying brands and silva are going to take us to the next level but we have to give them a proper chance, hard to judge against last season we finished 8th in possibly the worst top flight league in my lifetime, it looks tougher this season

If thats the case, fair enough.
But the things he raised about Silva were reasonable, even if I don't agree with it all myself.

That's fair enough. But will offer an alternative pov.
Would they have come to Watford?
How much does Everton the club and its ambitions have to do with these signings.
And how much of a hand has Brands had in it.
Of the signings, Gomes to me is the most impressive bc of the position/type of players he is. Ie they're in shorter supply.
And most players will say what he said above, no matter the coach or club.
He certainly seems to be enjoying being here, but calling it a Silva signing, not sure. Links to Barca?

Whereas with Rico there are many seriously talented young left wingers coming through at the moment. We may have got him bc of Silva, but we may have got someone else good if not.

Whatever the case, it's good to have all three.
