Whats he proved?

Think he has proved that football is better accepted by Everton fans when we create chances and with emphasis on attack rather than celebrating 1 effort on goal and playing defensive football. His style is more than acceptable by most of us and all of this in just 10 league games. A bit of the feel good factor has returned already for the realists.

Mate in 5 games this season out of 10 we have had awful referee decisions go against us:

Wolves- Jags red card / Neves moving the free kick yards forward in which they score from

Bournemouth: penalty not given for us and a soft one given for them. Richarlison also red carded for something that could have also been a yellow to both players.

Arsenal: Aubaymang being about 50 yards offside for his goal

Huddersfield: penalty not given on Tosun

Man Utd: penalty given for Martial and no 2nd yellow for Smalling

Im sorry but im sick of it and nothing will change if plucky little dignified Everton do nothing and just take it up the backside.
If the the first one happened to klopp, he would kick off so much the rest of them wouldn't of happened, we are a soft touch for referees.

He's proved Everton can actually have more than 1 shot on goal in 3 successive games....remember that last season ?
I thought it was zero shots for 3 successive games. Yes we were that bad. Moonhead and the Slug?!? What a season! How can anyone after that be overly critical of someone who actually looks like he knows what he is doing?

At this moment in time if you can't see any improvement in what is happening with the team, then I frankly despair of your sensory faculties and/ or higher functioning part of your brain.

Ultimately we'll see what happens when the progress starts to falter and how he copes with that, but until then I am with him, and he'll have credit in the bank to get past a fair few hurdles.

Happy with him at the moment. There have been teething problems and I’m sure some will continue for a while yet, but we look like a team who can and will cause anyone problems.

It’s refreshing to see a manager make attacking subs when we’re not already behind and in my opinion the players look much happier and a closer unit.

Still pissed off about Southampton in the cup though

Quite a few coaches would improve on last season.
Especially with the players brought in.
Especially with Brands behind him.

In general I'm relatively happy with the job he's done

I think defensively there's still issues, but I also think we've been generally playing rather well and I also think we'll get better in time

I'll be interested to see if he tries to add to the squad in January

The signings he and Brands have overseen thus far have been good for the most part
Nope not for me, his tactics mean the opposition have clear chances to score against us. The results don't sum up how we have played
Fulham missed 2 sitters in the first half, palace missed a penalty, Ings missed 2 sitters for Southampton and even against 10 man Leicester went to the wire.

Pickfords been outstanding the last few games hence the results, let's not be fooled into thinking the manager finally "gets it".

Pros- the most attacking football we have seen in the last few decades, I have seen us with 5 in the box at times.

Cons-vunerable to the counter, Silva likes to attack with far too many players and plays a high line, if the opposition sit back and soak up the pressure and counter attack they have a great chance of getting a result.

Gomes has been good but Barca will look to recoup the 35m they paid, if Ake went to Bournemouth for 20m expect zouma to be 30m+.

Feel like he's done alright so far. The thing I've liked most about him is his starting lineups have generally been very positive and he's seemingly not afraid to drop the players that need dropping. If he brings Lookman in for Walcott for Brighton then that'll compound it for me.

Silva is one of the seemingly only things im happy with at the moment.

Of course theres been progress, it will be slow and steady. Saying that we started at rock bottom after being managed by Allardyce last season!!!

Hes a progressive manager very much in the pochettino mould I think.

Agree with Southampton though. THAT was our chance and we totally blew it. Naivety from the manager there but its the only strike against him so far.

Quite possibly the worst comment of the last week on here. Yeah, the results don't sum up the way we've played, but not in the way you're making out. We were the better team in the draws against Wolves, Bournemouth and Huddersfield, and also had more than enough chances to get something out of the Arsenal and Man Utd games too. We could, and arguably should be sitting here on 23 points, rather than less than the 15 points that you are suggesting.
Fulham missed 2 sitters in the first half, palace missed a penalty, Ings missed 2 sitters for Southampton and even against 10 man Leicester went to the wire.
Yes they did. So do we just ignore the numerous sitters that we missed ourselves in this argument?
Pickfords been outstanding the last few games hence the results, let's not be fooled into thinking the manager finally "gets it".
That's his job. You are saying we are lucky because he makes good saves. That's the same as saying we are lucky because our strikers score good goals. Plus what about opposing keepers. 3 or 4 have been outstanding against us this season.
Pros- the most attacking football we have seen in the last few decades, I have seen us with 5 in the box at times.
We were much more cavalier under Martinez in his final season. His attacking tactics were suicidal at times evidenced by the number of high scoring draws/defeats.
Cons-vunerable to the counter, Silva likes to attack with far too many players and plays a high line, if the opposition sit back and soak up the pressure and counter attack they have a great chance of getting a result.
We've actually conceded 50% less chances per game this season than we did under Allardyce, despite his very defensive/negative tactics.
Gomes has been good but Barca will look to recoup the 35m they paid, if Ake went to Bournemouth for 20m expect zouma to be 30m+
He was available for £20m in the summer. Anyway, if he carries on the way he started in the first 2 games he would be a snip at £35m should that be Barca's asking price. I'd also gladly pay £30m for Zouma too from what I've seen to date.
.
Practically all of your posts are negative to the extreme mate. Now I understand that it's good to have a different point of view to balance the argument, but you must watch a football match purely to pick out all the negativities. I'm surprised you bother to watch football at all because there can't be any enjoyment in it for you.
