I think last night showed Silva just how bad our squad is
JJK is not good enough yet , I say yet in the hope he progresses to Seamus levels but I don’t see it in him
He looks like a converted winger who was converted because he has no real pace
For a FB defending is the worst part of his game
For a 21yr old I don’t think he’s good enough
Morgan needs to be sold
Dowell is not good enough
He has a reputation of going missing in games and went missing last night
Lookman is progressing and needs more time but there is a player there he just needs more time
Davies has stalled , he hasn’t pushed on from his first season and still makes the same mistakes
Every other top 6 team has youngsters better than him on the bench
He needs to be sold eventually
Tosun , Naisse DCLneed to be replaced
If some Turkish club will give us 15 / 20 m then take it
Get what you can for Naisse and DCL
Bernard is pure class and needs to start every game
We need Mina and Gomes to hit the ground running because apart from Siggy and Gana the rest of the midfield are crap
We need a CF as a matter of urgency.
Brands has his work cut out
No more room for sentimality
I’m all for playing young players but if they are not good enough then sell them
We need at least 10 new players for this squad to be taken seriously , with 4 /5 of them to be starters
A tall order but the time for Brands to earn his keep is here
3/4 more windows needed
Hopefully Henry and Vlasic continue to improve and come back ready to be part of the squad

Agree with most you say, but ten? We need ten players to win the league never mind being taken seriously. We need a proper centre mid who will actually protect our defence and a very good striker. That's all we need to be taken seriously.

Only one point off united and out played arsenal for large parts, they just had £100m worth of strikers which did what we couldn't and win the game.

If we got those two players in, it'd make a massive difference, believe me, we'd be competing with the lesser top 6 teams for CL places.

Just need to find them.

It will be if we are completely changing the team, i dont know why you cant understand transition as an acceptable reason...look at klopp

really you shouldnt bother commenting because you have refused to give him a chance from the beginning, so your a comments are a bit of an irrelavance and i may suggest a motion that they are struck from the records

Don`t let him get to you Neil, he`s not worth it x

Last night showed the squad is not good enough
We need 4/5 starters and 5/6 for squad to be taken seriously
Need a DM CM CF and a centre half to partner Mina
Keane Holgate and Zouma if he stays ( which I doubt ) are squad players

Yeah, we'll ignore all the chances they had and say we should have won the game because our centre half had a header from the edge of the box in the last minute, after we'd brought on the players that people are questioning leaving out in the first place. Faultless logic.

We should have been 0-2 down at half time on Saturday but got away with it due to Fulham's poor finishing, and that was with our "First XI"

In fact, had that happened, everyone would likely be banging on in this thread about how if Silva had picked some of the lads he picked last night then we would have beaten Fulham and not shipped easy goals

He just can't win at the moment with some, no matter what he does

With some maybe, but that's certainly not the case for the vast majority. I'm a fan of his, I wanted him to come in and I think he's generally done OK so far, but I don't see the point in dressing last night up as anything other than what it was, a blatant disregard for the competition. It doesn't mean we should sack him or he's under severe pressure or anything like that, but it was a poor call in my opinion, and won't have bought him a lot of goodwill and patience for any sticky patches we hit.

Missed a trick not getting Pellegrini in.

If we werent going for a Jardim, Nagelsmann, Mancini type manager Pellegrini was the next best option but instead we hired this bloke.

Martinez MrkII guaranteed but some like with Koeman, Walsh, Bolasie, Williams etc. are to proud to admit that Moshiri has once again been sold a pup. Why he never appointed Brands before a new manager I'll never know.

What a shambles this club is.

Is that cos west ham have won a couple of games lol

He's bailing water for now, no more than that, the holes need plugging and we need some steam.
As fans we became unhappy/complacent with 6th,7th and 8th place finishes and Moyes, Martinez, Koeman and Allardyce all became targets for disgruntled supporters who aspired better, seems like expectations have been lowered for this fella though and them aspirations have been put to bed for now by a lot but for me it's hard to accept that the new fella should be performing equal to or worse than the last few who were sacked and hounded and there is no guarantee that given time that results or performances will improve so I'll judge him in real time as and when stuff happens to date, that's just my personal approach and those making excuses for him, Koemaggedon, old Moyes players, injuries, referees, transitional seasons, the fans, been let down by brands' signings or whatever else they come up with are of course allowed their opinions and approach but It'll certainly be interesting though to see how loyal the rats on his ship are and which rats will jump and who'll go down with the ship having backed themselves into a corner with nowhere else left to go, when it starts to sink faster and almost inevitably ends up at going down.

In terms of "realistic" managers that we could have got he was probably 3rd on my list pal (Nagelsmann, Mancini, Pellegrini). Has won trophies and titles, made Villarreal a very good side in La Liga and along with Brands would have attracted top players.

Silva's a rookie who woo'ed our manager by having Watford look good for about 10 games (same as Garcia is currently doing there) and we chased him for months over 2 different DOF's and will probably sack him the same season as we get fined/ points deducted for tapping him up.

We are a circus at present mate - I wish "expected losses" Moshiri had the same ambition as "Everton are not where they should be" Usmanov as we could be doing so much better at present.
