It is more about the overall style of play back then, more than anything else. The globalization of football is robbing the individual leagues of their character.
The most exiting teams to watch doesnt even play in England, so what are you on about? Pretend that english 90sfootball was more entertianing than watching todays Real Madrid all you want to, but know you are undeniably wrong in your assesment, and only a blind man(or overly nationalistic Brit) would agree with you.

There's been a lot of talk about the best positions for Richarlison, Walcott and Bernard as all can play in different forward roles.

I'm just imagining having all 3 playing the RW, LW and no.10 position and interchanging throughout the match.

Would be total havoc for opposition defences to mark.
Tosun ahead of them just poaching everything, it'd be the thing of dreams, or nightmares if you're an opposing defender

My only concern with him is we let that Red go without him or anyone being in the refs / officials faces.

We need to learn to do what the top 6 do and start playing dirty.

Saying that Captain Jags let him down big time yesterday and hopefully it see's him gone for good. A disgrace if the bloke ever plays for us again.
The first thing Marco did was run over to the 4th ref and scream at him when the card was shown. And that comment about Jags is just so beyond anything.. Never playing him again would be a disgrace, he’s been our captain for years and a stalward player for us, one red card doesnt change that. He will get more games, but will probably be backup for our new CB, which is the right way to go.

You seriously need more vitamins in your diet, friend, cause thats a real dramaqueens post.

Jags should never play for us again, that's the old Everton where sentiment came before winning, Jags hasn't been good enough for 3 seasons and was only barely good enough for a few seasons before that. He's 36 years old past it and done, off to the championship in january with him.

Not true, but a lot more valid than «red card, disgrace!»

He plays attractive footy, he likes pace and skill on players, he wants to play it out from the back but not fannyy around but with purpose, he builds around players who can play that way and are young enough to develop and learn his system.

There's nothing you should dislike about Silva mate

I think Silva has the potential to channel the best parts of Moyes & Martinez. He wants his teams to work hard, be fit, be organised and avoid soft goals. At the same time I think he will also have a bigger vision, optimism, flexibility on younger players and desire to play entertaining football. The fella has won leagues and cups and is unlikely to fall at the last hurdle in the same way Moyes did.

For a guy who's just turned 40 he has a fantastic CV, compare him to pretty much any manager and he comes out favourably.

And if we're being honest, not a very good one.

Watching Liverpool vs west ham. The high line deploy by west ham is suicidal.

We play with a similar setup yesterday and a lot of work needs to be done to make this system work. The back 4 will needs to be very tactically discipline and excellent awareness for the system to be successful.

Always liked him and wanted us to pay Watford whatever it took when we were first interested. Fitness of the players looked decent for a season opener and we pressed and stayed on the front foot even after losing Jags.

My one negative was his lack of proactivity with subs. It was a bit Martinez-esque to wait until the momentum had shifted in their favour before thinking about subs rather than trying to kill the game. With that said, however, that could be more a comment on his lack of faith in those on the bench which, if true, should be less of an issue when the new lads are available.
Thats something that stood out. I don't think I've seen our players running around that much in the MIDDLE of a season before, much less in match 1.
