Way to undermine your upcoming season and current manager Watford, for absolutely zero reason. Really smart thing to do.

I'm completely disinterested. We made an approach, they rejected it - at that point our involvement is over; Watford alone made the decision to sack him months later. End of story.
exactly. No doubt we made our interest know to Silva's agent and his agent informed us he could be interested if a fee with Watford could be arranged which it wasn't. We walked away and hired The Bisto Kid. Watfords form and what they did from that point onwards had sod all to do with us and like wise once they sacked Marco they forfeited their right to have any say on his future.

For once in our lives we need to make this PR work in our favour and crush the scruffs in the public eye.

"You wanted our manager we said no. We sacked him and then you took him."

Approaching isn't illegal you gremlins, neither is him not being assed cos you wouldn't let him go initially

There's not even any evidence of that - it's more than likely a team that featured Tom Cleverley in midfield simply fell apart after overachieving for a bit.

What they're doing is so small time it's unreal. I'm fully on board with Everton staying silent and treating the issue with the contempt it deserves.

What a crackin little club Watford are!!!

They probably claim make dodgy travel insurance claims after pre season tours "Tom cleverley please report to the manager, he has found a slippy tiled floor for you to rupture your cruciate on... you will be on crutches for 6 months but we should get a few million in compo"

What's next??? Richarlison wins golden boot and they sue us for the extra £30m they think he's now worth.

Funny thing is even Liverpool fans are laughing at them.

lollollollollol

They are simply saving face, the fact that they've pushed this back to the EPL and stated that there's no further comment is proof that they've accepted the situation. Proving an illegal approach is extremely difficult which is why it is rarely pursued, add to that the fact that Silva was sacked and their case looks flimsy at best. The latest statement is fan appeasement, does anyone seriously think the Richarlison transfer would've gone so smoothly (by our low standards) if the clubs were at war over Silva?

If its tapping up that's bothering them, then let's have a review about how the whole of football works in this respect, since it has become the norm with signing players. As far as managers are concerned, its no different.

The Premier League won't dare open this can of worms, as there is no knowing where it stops.

I'm all for clubs following the rules, but there has to be absolute consistency and a level playing field at all times.

What transpires at present happens on the basis of a clubs place in the food chain.

We are indisputably bigger than Watford, as are say, Manchester United bigger than us.

The hierachy is maintained, and keeps being maintained.

Can you not read? Watford recognise that they have forfeited any right to compensation.
"At the request of the Premier League we entered into mediation with Everton in a process that involved club officials and their respective legal teams, with no conclusion being reached.

Therefore the disciplinary process continues. In pursuing its disciplinary claim, the club has known from the outset it forfeited any right to compensation as a consequence of not following a proposed arbitration process.

We believe this situation is not about a compensation figure but the principle of making a stand when the actions of one Premier League club completely undermine and cause intrinsic damage to a fellow member club".

They are after punishing Everton. And I would imagine that to pursue this they must have some pretty damning evidence.

You got nothing on us but heresay and conjecture. The EPL will look at this and throw it in the bin - you bunch of small-time scruffs.

Unfortunately your self-obsessed manager conducted all of his negotiations on a club provided phone, so records of the hours he spent discussing terms are in the club's hands.
