For a forum that is a great advocate for mental health, this thread is a very poor reflection on that.

It seems anyone who tries to make points against the manager is: mental, hearing voices or has men in white coats coming for them.

Three posters in the last few pages have made reference to these things.

It’s pointless trying to debate a topic if these are the labels that are getting slapped down on people.

You should be ashamed of yourself trying to guilt the mods into getting others punished for calling out your outragous claims as crazy talk. Nobody here is diminishing mental health awareness/action. I and many others have turned to that thread and I take it as a personal insult that you would suggest I or someone else here would belittle the problems people have.

Agree with you on people overreacting to anything critical of Silva
but surely your going a bit too far on the PC.
Lunatics is not a harmful word surely. More endearing I'd thought.
Not in comparison to a word like '[Poor language removed]' or 'nutter'.

I deeply value the forum for its mental health advocacy,
but do you not think that at least some PC is contributing negatively to our mental health.

Yeah this mess has got ef all to do with allardyce. He signed one duffer in tosun but he also got in Walcott who silva seemingly rates.

Tge squad was complied by Koeman and Walsh and that's where the blame lies

Our current 27 man squad is compiled as follows :

Moyes 3
Martinez 3
Koeman 8
Big Sam 2
Silva 7
Academy 4

Which highlights 1 of the reasons I want Silva to be given time, we really cant keep sacking managers, its a total waste of time, money and effort.

It's a 5 year plan at least. 7th us the target this year but as long as we finish top half we achieve par. Next season with these players bedded in a few additions we should be competing for 5th. If we finish 7th but our points total would normally have had us in 5th that is still par. Season 3 should pretty much be Marco and Marcels squad and we should be pushing to finish top 4 plus winning a trophy we should be in 3 cup competitions. Season 4 definite top 4 finish. Season 5 title challenge. Now I'm realistic enough to accept it wont pan out exactly like that but that is how we should be aiming to go. The only way of achieving this is to have stability so if we fall a little short don't sack the manager. To be fair I think Moshiri is switched on. He sacked Martinez cos he took us from 5th to consecutive 11th place finishes with no sign of reviving it. Koeman was 7th and then taking us backwards with no clear plan. Allardyce was always a stop gap and wouldn't have took us forward. Silva has kept the results about the same whilst implementing a new philosophy once players are comfortable with this or the ones that arent moved on we will start to see us move closer to the above teams. It took Ferguson 6 years to get United to a title from a similar position to what we are in. We cant bully the market like City and Chelsea did as the 6 above all have as much money or more than us.

Yeah but that still has nothing to do with this season, that was his mistake, after the previous two idiots failed to get a striker he had to go for someone, besides that one player, there was enough money available in the summer to get a striker so it really has no baring on this season

They clearly ARE diminishing mental health if they feel the need to continually bring it up.

Three people saying it to try and devalue an opinion, a valid opinion at that.

By all means, though, you have your opinion. I won’t claim you’re mentally unhinged for thinking in such a way, or that voices are telling you to think in such a fashion.
