Said it before the Southampton game and will say it again...

Has my full backing.

We are 7 games in to the new season. We are bedding new players in, adopting a new style (which already is far more entertaining to watch than the dross we've been handed for the last 3 or so years).

People calling for his head or stating he was the wrong appointment need a huge reality check.

The club and playing staff will be looking at the bigger picture. We should be too.

After slipping up against Huddersfield and West Ham we definitely need a suprise win at one of the top 6. We should be looking to take 3 points at OT and if we play the same side as yesterday with the added bonus of Mina, Coleman and Gomes in the side we should go for the win there.

It was never going to be easy for Silva coming into Everton this summer but although there has been issues he has/is slowly getting through them and there has been positive signs taking root :-) He has reduced a bloated, old, money draining journey man squad, put positive and encouraging support to younger lads like Davis, DCL, Kenny and even Lookman while players who were average last year are playing better, ie Keane and Glyffi, his brought in great signings with Brands ie Digne, Richarlison, Bernard and Mina and Gomes to come, the football is better than under Allardyce, Koeman and Martinez! He does'nt talk us down in media like previous Managers, there's better moral around club in general :-) Bit by bit he is sorting out the issues and players seem to be aware they are not certain of a start unless they deserve it as we re not having passengers in team just because they are senior players! ie Baines, Schneiderlin, Tosun, Naisse! We'll be in touching distance of top 6 by xmas and fa cup will be possible so looking forward to whats going to happen :-) Its a game of patience now as the 1st team is improving week on week and Brands is behind the scenes in the youth squads fixing those and if recruits are needed in january, they will be found :-)

We are just 8 games into Silva's tenure and already we are far more enjoyable to watch, playing much better football, creating far more chances, scoring great goals, on a positive goal difference tally and sitting just 6 points below 3rd place and 7 points from top.

Got to be happy with that and we could have actually even done better but for a bit of bad luck and naivety.

Very satisfied with how things are going so far. We are definitely moving forwards and i am 'cautiously' optimistic about our future with this guy in charge.

A big test for him is when Mina and Gomes are fit. If he waits and persists with Keane and Davies til we inevitably drop points then it'll show he's a weak manager - he persisted with DCL and Tosun up front for weeks whilst Bernard was sat on the bench and Richarlison out wide.

As soon as both are fit they need putting into the starting 11. Mina alone would win us points from goals from set pieces.

I disagree, he done the right thing with Bernard waiting until he is fit enough to properly start a game.

Davies and Gueye are doing fine until Gomez is fully, same with Mina and Keane.

All better for the season as a whole with players not getting injured when they’re rushed back.
