If they don't like being worked hard by him then get them out to frig.

They've been lethargic, unfit and unathletic for years now and they need someone working the arses off them. Will take 18 months to get a lot of them wasters fit. Longer than they hopefully have left as Everton players in many cases.
This to 100%

We were the better team in terms of chances created in the first half when we sit back and counter. Arsenal could not handle that. Second half we started to have more possession in the first 10mins and to be honest it’s completely ineffective, we couldn’t create anything meaningful playing possession football while also being vulnerable to counter attack. First half possession is something like 60% in favour of Arsenal. We did not dominate them, we’re just very good at counter attack.

I don’t understand the need to switch tactic in the second half when we were comfortable at the back and creating enough danger up front with the way we’re playing in the first half.
Because he doesn't appear to know what he is doing.

What are you on about?

We were by far the better team for an hour. The tactics worked. The tactics were to press high and use our pace in forward areas to spring on the counter. We got in twice one-on-one and failed to convert.

We had 9 shots (as many as Arsenal) on the whole, and six on target (more than Arsenal).

Silva cant do enything. Like Koeman, Unsy even Fat Sam
its disease, to much average players with nice paycheck, everything is staying still

dressing room needs clean up, all four corners

use the youngsters Marco, fresh wind, hungry ones, afterall being 7. or 10. whats the diference

Hang on. People are saying we shouldn't play the youngsters because they're crap. Which is it?

People's heads falling off because we lost to Arsenal away. A ground we haven't won at in 22 years. We played well overall and should have scored. We didn't take our chances and got punished. That about sums it up.

I honestly have no other idea other than just letting Silva get on with it. When I saw the team today with Davies captain (Davies as captain ffs, how bad is that) it really did confirm that he really hasn't got a lot to work with
Or he doesn't now what he is doing.
I know this is horrible thing to consider, but I got the feeling there were times out there when some of the other players were going what is this kid doing here.
If this is anyway true and Silva has made him captain, he is getting the players to doubt him - and that would be a major mistake.
What he needs now is total buy in from the players.
Whether the above is true or not making Davies captain certainly raises questions about Silva's understanding of leadership.
Are players really looking to Davies for leadership.
Or is Silva reducing the position of captain of this great club to being a token gesture.

I'd just like to say we've been a bit unlucky too.

Wrong red against Wolves. Goal wrongly disallowed against saints for offside. Ridiculous red on richarlison. Clear pen on Tosun not given near end. Same as one we conceded. 2 pens on Tosun v Huddersfield not given. No red card given for obiangs kerb stomp last week. Torreira not sent off. Aubamayang miles offside for goal.

I'm waiting on the evening out we're told happens.

No, that's the first thing to not lose a game - it's a negative mentality to have and too often we get mauled by the big boys because we'll go to their place and look to defend for 90 minutes and just get picked off. Today was different because we took the game to them and actually tried attacking and a high press for a change. We were creating enough to have killed it off before half time.

Got beat by a worldy and a blatant offside goal that completely took it out of us.

I really don't think there was anything majorly suspect about our defending there today and I thought our defending from set pieces looked to be miles better. I think we were much better without the ball than we have been and thought our game plan was a lot clearer to see. We can obviously still improve on aspects and a better ball player next to Gueye (hopefully Gomes) and Mina coming into the team are definitely going to improve us. I fancy us to run Fulham ragged next week.
No.
To sort the defence out first is exactly what you do when building a team.
You will never have confidence throughout team until you have a solid defence.
You may see confidence in individuals like with Rico at the start of the season. But keep conceding goals and the head will drop.
Its something I fear happened to him today in the second half.
It must have been a dose of cold reality after basking in the sunshine with Brazil.
