The only ‘tactics’ I don’t agree with are zonal marking. New players,new manager and everyone new to zonal marking is very risky.

If silva insists on it, it should have been gradually done. he should have gone man marking this season. And slowly introduce zonal marking at the end of the season and in the next pre season, when everything is bedded in better.

I’m personally not a fan of zonal marking, but done right with the right players it can work.

...but hold on, that contradicts what you said about it being the players not following instruction.

These players - as when RM was in charge - can take instruction and play and win...then they get a hard game and they cant dig in.

That's what's happened yesterday and what will continue to happen.

Baines, Jagielka, Coleman even (and the no mark rubbish coaches like Ferguson) have the loser stink on them and they've infected a whole generation of players. So now we have the likes of Kenny and Davies and C-L who are abysmal at showing character and playing with their heads screwed on.

I think games like yesterdays show how bad some of our players really are.

Haven't looked it up but our passing accuracy must have been horrendous. Amateur hour stuff.

Quite. He has been given his Christmas pressies, and not allowed to open some till half way through January.
