18mths you said for managers, you can't have it both ways,16mths is not 18mths,and just because you didn't want Sam here does not alter your reasoning.Every team wants a manager to be at their club at decent length of time but you can't just put a certain time limit on it it does not work like that.

Ok if you want to be prescriptive about it then I concede. But I think my point is clear and still stands up. You have to give a manager time to build a squad.

Fans calling for heads after six months is what is wrong with the game.

Managers need time to implement their plans, we all know that. However it is also part of their job to manage the change in such a way that it doesn't cause major damage to the club. Koeman had the team going backwards, in 16 months and with the money spent he needed to demonstrate that he knew where he was going and that some progress was being made. After 16 months he was creating a mess. Fat Sam has one plan, survival. There is no improvement in his type of football unless you call standing still success.
Silva and Brands have moved us forward and will hopefully continue the trend. They have earned the right to be given time.
