This is what counts as a good season with forward progress now according to some.

2017/18 Under Keoman, Rhino and Allardyce

Played = 38
Won = 13
Drawn = 10
Lost = 15
Points = 49

2018/19 under Silva

Played = 34
Won = 13
Drawn = 7
Lost = 14
Points = 46

Apart from the odd decent result, the season has been mostly inconsistent, disappointing and frustrating imo and but hey we have a younger, cooler and more fashionable Manager in charge who needs time to be do something he has never been able to do in the premier league so all is good.

Evertonians LoL. :hayee: lol

The poor pre-season last summer was educational for Silva in the exact same way. I think we only got Zouma in on loan at the last second (after the last second, really) because he saw in the pre-season games that Jagielka wasn't fit for purpose and had the turning circle of a small boat.

Wait, Jags has a turning circle?

He gets to start next season because we were in no real danger of relegation this time around. What a time to be an Evertonian.

What did you expect from this season mate? Honestly im not having a pop, im just asking what your honest expectations were?

I thought we would finish 7th or above, possibly get a little cup run.

Now of course the cup run never happened and I will personally be surprised if we finish 7th, so to be honest I consider the season a disappointment.

As for Silva, I still have doubts, but realistically we would only replace him with a Marco Silva, Ronald Koeman, sure the next fella might be better, he might be worse, but we would still need to "start again". This season hasnt been good, but I believe that if we get the recruitment right in the summer, we can do better next season. Yes, its based on blind faith, I just dont see what other options we have.

People keep assuming that the people that dont want him sacked are over the moon with being in a battle for 7th, I dont speak for them, but I assume they arent, im not, again, this season has been bad, really, really bad. Will next season be the same? Possibly, but lets just wait 12months.

7th or above? Really, Goat?

I think tbh the cup results have put him in the spotlight more than the league position, which until we get some consistency is going to stay the same. Something to give people a bit of enjoyment and hope would have given him more goodwill, learning experience I suppose
