Top 6 teams can take top managers though and put them in good infrastructures so they hit the ground running (and usually have good squads to start with). We’re putting poor managers in a chaotic environment with a terrible squad.

Klopp is a success because he binned off all the things - tactics, players - that did not work. If Silva is going to be a success then he has to do the same here; he has made an OK start (going forward we are unrecognizeable from last year or Koemans entire reign) but it does need more work.
Maybe let’s wait till after the season then?

Not calling his head at this moment but how on earth we defend like this is quite unbelievable. We aren’t playing Man City or Chelsea.
Two points better off than this time last year, although then we'd played City, Chelsea and Utd away and Spurs at home.....

won’t judge the bloke until all of our new signings have bedded in,digne and richarlison look class,bernard looked decent today and mina can only improve our defence and hopefully has a good partnership with zourma and there’s gomes which i have no idea how good he is.
The performances and point gathered are frankly awful. But he does need time. This team, the mentality of it, everything is crap, so crap. He's come into this. We carry on chopping and changing managers, nothing will settle and you end up with Newcastle. No thanks, hopefully in the next year Brands and Silva sort it all out.

....when Schneiderlin went off and we went 2-0 down he virtually ditched the defensive shield. Understandable perhaps, but when we got a goal back, perhaps he should’ve filled the void and been patient. There was 45mins to go.
The 1st goal was symptomatic of the Martinez era. Possession in a defensive central area and your left back is your furthest player forward. Lose possession (when the ball is played to Tosun) and the CBs are exposed with gaps in the full back areas.

Im not saying we should sack him now but I don’t believe he will turn this around and everything will magically click together. Don’t think there are many examples of managers who became very good after poor start.
