I love how players speak of Silva saying how "focused" he is with details on every single thing.


Then they get on the pitch and literally have no idea what to do.

The problem is, half the squad is new and trying to integrate them together with the older players and learn a style of play isn't easy. The other half that have been here for a year or more have dealt with some of the most negative football the league has ever seen and that can't be quick to rectify.

There were so many problems inherited by Silva that he would've had to be a miracle worker to have figured it all out already.

Before Christmas, he went with pretty much the same XI every game for a month or so. Ironically, it's probably been a bit of his downfall as they were all gassed over December/January.

The changing of the lineup has largely been due tot he fact that we don't have a proper centre-forward to make that b=position their own, therefore constantly tweaking to find the best alternative.

The whole basis of Silva game plan is high intense high tempo high work ethics. Without all these, Silva basic gameplan is rendered completely ineffective and it’s not surprise everything fall apart. It’s not about technical ability and lacking talent, it’s the desire to perform the basics of football that is holding this team back.

I’ve mention before, if any bad example of coward professional still remains in this team, it will be a benchmark for the rest to comfort themselves by saying “hey I’m not the worst”. It’s this sort of mentality that infect regular complacency no matter who is our manager. This coward benchmark is set by no other than Schneiderlin imo.

We had AFC Wimbeldon in the next round of the FA Cup as well.Then fielding a second string side in the league cup.Yeah let's throw away the two cup competitions.Sure it's just the 24 years without a trophy.No biggie.Then we have had a pathetic attempt, at a challenge for the top six.Silva in a matter of months, has nearly used up all of his goodwill credits.There's good managers in La Liga and the Bundesliga.The bottom half of the premiership, doesn't have to be our recruiting ground.
